This is a study on village community health volunteers, which are key in providing rural health and medical services in least developed countries. It is a must read for anyone interested in this field. Master’s program student Sato (currently, an assistant professor in the College of Nursing at Seinan Jo Gakuin University) compiled the study while in Nagasaki. Although there are several points that need to be tightened up, he did a fabulous job in reporting at local academic societies and contributing to international academic journals.
